How can I find the speed of my external CDRW?
I have a Lacie firewire external CD-RW which I'm looking to sell.I THINK it's 24x12x40-trouble is,I can't remember what speeds it is having lost the manual. All I have to go on is the machine itself and its serial numbers. Is there some way I can find out this info through the Mac? System profiler doesn't give this info.It gives this:
Model: LaCie 1394 CDRW drive LUN 0
    Drive Type: CD-RW
    Disc Burning: Apple Supported
    Removable Media: Yes
    Detachable Drive: Yes
    Speed: 400 Mb/sec Speed
    Unit Spec Id: 24734
    Unit Software Version: 10483
    Firmware Revision: 6.34
and the machine(grey with blue front) says STUDIO-IF-CD-705755 on it.
Anyone help? Can I discover by running Toast?

IF possible, open the case and find out who the MFG is of the actual drive mechanism. Then you should be able to look up the specs on the internet.
