I have a WD 6400EBO35 External Hard Drive which I have used with my MacBook and automatically with Time Machine.

MacBook has died! Too broke to buy a new one or take external drive to Mac specialist.

I have my work PC, is there any way I can view the backed up Time Machine files? Pluggining it in doesn't work. It recognises the drive, but I can't see any files.

Is their a PC Time Machine equivalent?

I only want access to my images and music.

You're going to need another Mac in order to get your files from the Time Machine backup. Perhaps you can ask a friend who has a Mac to help you out?

Hey man, I'm not sure how time machine works or the extension of what it backs up but if you want to access Mac disks in windows best you try Mac Drive 8.

hope that helps in some ways or another.
cheers

Mac Drive 8 is a nice utility and works real well to read HFS from a Windows PC, but it can't restore data from a Time Machine backup. For that, he's going to need another Mac with Time Machine.
