WHen I try to connect the new LG monitor to my 2006 IMAC, the image on the new monitor only covers 80% of the screen. I have to go down to a very low resolution and then it is still stretched. Any idea what to do.

Two ideas:

1. What is the native resolution of this LG monitor?...this is the resolution that should be chosen in the iMac's "Display Preference" for this display.

2. Once the proper resolution is selected for the LG monitor...you may need to go into the LG monitors settings (using the buttons on the display itself)...to adjust the horizontal & vertical screen dimensions.
