I just bought an aluminum keyboard with numeric keypad (hard wired) two days ago (Jan 8) for my laptops. The next day (Jan 9) I plugged it in (USB) to my old PowerBook G4 and it worked fine. This morning when I booted up the laptop, it's not seeing the keyboard. I tried downloading software from Apple and what I have on the laptop is more current (it says) then what's available in the downloads. This is turning into way too much trouble for such a stupid simple thing. Why doesn't the keyboard work today and what do I do to kick it back in?
Thanks

Do you have the keyboard plugged in when you boot the G4, or do you plug it in after it has booted?
