HI There,
Today in the excitement of my new iMac I accidentally done something to my new seagate GoFlex 250GB HDD! Basically I was practising to right click (Because of pressing control) The the next thing I know I looked up at my screen and I saw my External HDD disapearing before my eyes ![]() I checked in finder and it isn't showing there either! All it shows now when plugged in is Time-machine Backup Data! Is there anyway possible that I can get my External HDD shortcut back? ![]() Thanks Guys, Matt |

Well time to Repair Permission via Disk Utility or dl MainMenu 1.7.4 ~ Free and give your system a real good clean out.
When MM is up and running Configure Batch Tasks. Uncheck Spotlight Reindexing and Remove .DS_Store Files Now execute. Once done log out n back in, from memory it will ask to restart and then see where it is ... Check everything again as well .... Post back either way. If good Nice one and if not we will try and look further into it ![]() Cheers Dont forget to use the Reputation System if someone has helped you out !!! I think I will leave it guys it is only a £30.00 HDD it shows up on Time Machine just I cannot access the HDD to put any other files on! I will just leave it now! Thanks anyway guys!
By the way it is a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 250GB from PC World! It is the smallest HDD I have ever seen! It is supposed to be the worlds most upgradeable Hard Drive check it out guys probably one of the best £30 I spent even if you already have a HDD Maybe It is worth getting it for a second backup! |
