PS3 on iMac

Hiya all

I have an iMac 27 inch , I bought a Cable MINI display port to HDMI ,
I insert the HDMI in to my decoder for watching TV and this all works

But when i try the same thing with my PS3 it doens't work ...??

any1 know's an answer ?

I use the Secondary screen of the iMac
