Apple Display -> DVI + DVI -> VGA?

I've recently bought a MacBook Air with a DVI cable. I'm finding it's quite annoying that a lot of the screens I will hook my macbook up to will have VGA. Does anyone know if a DisplayPort -> DVI cable + DVI -> VGA Adapter will work? I've got an adapter here but it seems to have four pins extra around the flat bit on the dvi male. |
