I have an older scanner HP scanjet 4470c. It's a decent scanner but won't install on my iMac 10.5.8. When I click on the install icon it says "the classic environment is no longer supported." I know it means this scanner won't work, but what do the words mean?

I'm trying to decide between the Epson V300 and V500. Is it worth the extra money if all I am doing is scanning color photos for a power point presentation? The reviews look good on both. I've also read not to bother installing the software that comes with the scanner.

Thank you--that was way more information than I thought I would ever have. Still means it won't work. Thanks again.
