Hi folks,

I am new to all this so please excuse any mistakes/moronic questions, etc

Anyway, I am hoping to get hold of a cheap portable external hard drive and have whittled the choice down to the following...

Iomega eGo Compact BlackBelt Portable Hard Drive 1TB

Western Digital Elements SE Portable Hard Drive 1TB

Can anybody advise if these are any good or should I be looking elsewhere - don't really want (can afford) to spend more than 150 ($240)

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me
QUOTE Thanks

I'm not a fan of anything iOmega having used everything from their old Bernoulli drives to the latest USB. Always seems to be an issue with them - but maybe that's just me.

Anyway, my choice would be the WD. I believe they also give a three year warranty on their external drives.
QUOTE Thanks
