Transfer Time Machine Backup from Time Capsule to External Hard Drive

 Mac Specs: Macbook (Black, Early 2008), Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, OS X 10.6.4, 500 MB Time Capsule

Hey I'm about to leave for college and I have backed up my Macbook for over year and a half on a 500GB Time Capsule and now I'm gonna backup my computer from an external hard drive a college. I have found article on transferring backups from another hard drive to another and from time capsule to time capsule but nothing on from a time capsule to an external hard drive. I also can't use the restore method because my sister backs up her Macbook Pro on the time capsule as well. Is there any way for me to move only my backups and not my sister's backup from the Time Capsule to the external Hard drive?
