Is there a way to name my usb ext hard drive so when I plug it in it can be automatically referred to as something other than 'untitled'?

It's an NTFS drive, and I want to keep it that way so it's compatible with Mac and PC both. I'm using MacFuse and NTFS-3G to give the Mac read/write privileges.

Thanks guys.

An easy way to name (label) the drive is while you're in Windows and the drive is attached, go to "My Computer", highlight the drive, right click, select properties, and name the drive. You can also use the Disk Management tool in Windows to do the same thing. The name that you choose will also display when the drive is mounted with OS X.

Regards.

While it is mounted on your desktop, simply single click or right click the "untitled" name, when it highlights, just change it to whatever you want. Just like changing the name of any file on your desktop.
