Is there anyway you can get the shuffle headphones to pause and skip songs on the old macbooks?

Not sure I understand your question? The earbud headphones included with the iPod Shuffle will work for the Shuffle and also with the Nano, (and maybe with other iPods) but as far as I know, can't be used to plug directly into a MacBook.

Well I was just a little curious so I just tried to control iTunes on my MacBook ( late 08 ) with my iPhone earbuds and they work perfectly . Play , Pause . skip... so maybe ?
