hi,
i converted to mac in 2009 and bought a macbook which i would like to use as an infra red remote for my TV, amp and a couple of other ir operated AV devices. the macbook does not have a built-in ir port and from what i understand from google osx 10.6 probably doesn't have any ir drivers. has anyone else done something like this? what hardware/peripherals do you use? what drivers? i used to use lirc on an old ibm laptop under linux- more info here- LIRC - Linux Infrared Remote Control. cheers //j |
