Bluetooth not an option under system preferences?????

Hello, I have apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse. All was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. When I open system preferences now the bluetooth manager is not even an option and none of my bluetooth devices are recognized.

My computer is 17" macbook pro, 2.8 ghz, 500gbHD, 4gb ddr3 ram, snow leopard 10.6.3

17" MBP Unibody, anti-glare, 2.8ghz, 4gb ram, 500gb hd.

Alright I figured out how to do it. Question is how hard is it to remove and reinsert the battery on a macbook pro?? I have to take apart the computer because the battery is built in.
