Having used a single Apple 17" LCD Studio display for over ten years, right out of touch with the modern LED and LCD displays and Mac compatability.

Looking at purchasing a BenQG2222HDL LED display which comes with DVI connections etc. BenQ Support seem very reluctant to commit an answer to this query so any assistance will be appreciated.

Using a G5 Dual Core 2.3GHz with an ATI Radeon X1900GT and a nVidia GeForce 6600 graphic cards, both dual DVI connections.

I found a manual for you to look at Harry, maybe you can find the answer there?
If by AC you are referring to power supply, then the answer is Yes.

Thanks Kevriano however not one word about being Mac compatible and set up instructions apply to XP, Vista and Windows 7 only and BenQ Australia simply will not answer emails etc.

Thought if they are compatible, someone in the States would be able to respond.

Is this a US only model you're trying to find out if the power supply is compatible?

Or are you trying to find out if you'll have issues connecting your Mac via DVI to it?

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

The latter thanks mate ~ just want to make sure BenQ will work with the G5 Dual Core running an Ati Radeon X1900GT graphics card. To my way of thinking DVI to DVI will work as the display is only similar to a slave once it gets the signal.

Can buy locally with 240v plug no problem.

Yeah, there are several monitor companies that put out drivers... Viewsonic, Samsung and others. I have never installed any of them even on my Win machines except when they were required for portrait mode.

The X1900 is DVI-I so it should put out both analog and digital. The input on that BenQ is DVI-D only. You may need a new cable. Other than that, there really shouldn't be any drivers required for any monitor whether on a Mac or in Windows.

About the only brand that i've seen take an issue with Macs since my switch has been Samsung, similar to the current thread we have going.

You going to get another couple of years out of that G5?
