I was looking at the Rockstargames newswire when I noticed a prize for a social club tv contest and it was an nvidia gtx 470 and then I remebered my graphics card thread on this forum.
I couldn't find it so I went on google and searched "ati radeon vs nvidia" most of it was from the early noughties (2000 & x's) so it wasn't helping, one site was a little helpful ( it said the the PS3 uses nvidia and 360 uses ATI )
I also found something saying that ATI was better at Direct3d and Nvidia was better at OpenGL. last time I asked about graphics cards someone told me that ATI's have bugs on large displays. and something about one having better bandwidth.
My questions are:
Which card is better for what (apart from direct3d and opengl)
And does GTA IV use direct3d or opengl?
And which card performs better for high end gaming in general?24'' Intel iMac, 3.06 GHZ dual core processor, 4 GB ram @ 800mhz, Nvidia 8800 GT graphics card with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, 500 GB Serial ATA hard drive, 6 MB shared L2 cache.
