iMac add-on - use it as a AV or HD monitor

Mac Specs: iMac, 28inch, quad core, 4GB Ram, 1TB HDD

When I bought my iMac at the end of march the apple store sales rep mentioned that an add on, not made by apple, that would allow me to use my iMac as a monitor for an xbox or ps3 or component.

However I can't find any info on who is making it or when it will be released.

Any one know anything?
