I will be getting a Mac Pro 3.33GHz soon, and need to find the right UPS System. I will be connecting the Mac Pro with an external HD.

I want to have a UPS system that will provide protection for the above devices, with enough protection to spare for several other devices (a second external HD, iBook G4, and an older computer, SE/30)

Also, I need a UPS system that will automatically save, then shut down, for times I'm not at the computer during a power outage.

Any suggestions? I'd like to keep the price around $200-300 if possible.

- Samsung Galaxy Note 3, 3GB RAM, JellyBean 4.3
- iBook G4, 1GHz, 1.25GB RAM, Tiger 10.4.11
- Archos 80 G9 Turbo 250GB, Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Mac Pro, 2.93 GHz, 8GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.8
QUOTE Thanks

Have a look on apc.com ... I believe they have the Powerchute software that can monitor their UPS's and shutdown your PC in an orderly fashion.

Cheers ... McBie

Looks like they only sell the batteries for the UPS systems. I called, but they are closed on the weekends.

They do sell complete power solutions, not just batteries.

Cheers ... McBie
