Has anyone used a Verbatim surefire external hard drive? I am thinking of purchasing this drive but some people are saying it gets too hot when transfering via firewire so I was wondering what a consensus would say.

If it's of any help this Verbatim SureFire FireWire 800/USB Review | Storage | From the Lab | Macworld gives it both thumbs up. I prefer independent reviews to opinions, even those based on personal experience. Note too in the review that you might find the VSF at US$140. Click the best current price link.
