HP 2400 Printer sharing via dell to imac/macbook pro

tapple is offline
6+ hours with apple/d-link staff..still an open puzzle.

Dell laptop recognizes/prints via dell pc. Strong connection. iMac and MBP do not. Mac's Printers/Fax show: "hp 2400 offline." When usb'd to either the iMac or MBP both print--likewise neither dell prints.

What to do/try..up a tree tonight HELP. ted/silverdale wa
