New LCD Monitor is Fuzzy

Just got a new 26" Vizio 1080p HD LCD monitor to connect to my Powerbook. It's connected by the DVI cable that came with it. The picture quality is fine, but I'd like it to be sharper. I have a feeling an HDMI cable isn't going to change much.

Any suggestions?

Are you running the Vizio at its native resolution? Check your owner's manual to make sure.
