Is there a connection cable I can use so I can take the hard drive out of my G4 tower and plug it into my Mac Mini via USB.

Or purchase an external USB hard drive enclosure...like this:

This enclosure has the same footprint as a Mac Mini...so it would stack well.

I have this Ministack under my Mac Mini. It can be connected via USB or Firewire 400/800 (FW800 being much faster than USB). It's a bit noisy though, however I'm using it as a home media center in a cabinet so I don't notice it.

I also have this dock. You can swap 3.5" and 2.5" hard drives in and out all day. Works perfectly with my Macs.
