I saw the HP lx190 for $230, but you need Windows for set up and maintenance. I have a Macbook in my office and would like to be able to access videos through my Xbox 360 upstairs and, if possible, my Wii downstairs. If it cannot access through the Wii, I could keep the server downstairs and run a line directly to the tv and then run it to the wired ethernet connection to access the router where the xbox could grab files.
Any suggestions for an inexpensive home media server that would serve me well? I would like to store all media files, download movies (say iTunes, etc), access Hulu, etc. I assume the Mac Mini with Boxee is one option. Any other ones to consider? Thanks!
