I plan on buying a 20in monitor. I am not sure what make a monitor bad or good. I suspect contrast ratio is pointless to pay attention to.

OS X 10.6.4
2GB RAM
2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo
QUOTE Thanks

I use a Philips 200W6C as it has built in speakers - less clutter - and that works with all except PPC Mini where it wont run top resolution. Runs well on Intel MBP and Intel iMac and has DVI connector so for iMac a converter is needed but not for MBP

Look for size, resolution, response time, and who makes it.
