1st thing keep the kids away from it ..

2nd would just use a soft fibre cloth damp if it is a liquid spilt or dry if its just crumbs.

Compress air to blow away crumbs and dust ....

or check out this sticky Official I spilled liquid on my Mac what should I do ?
Some helpful information ^^

Cheers
