Firewire 400/800 question

Here is my little problem ... I have both FW400 and FW800 Hard Drives ... my actual iMac have both FW400 and FW800 ports but I fell in love with the new 27 inches/Quad Cores ones and they have only a single FW800 port. If I buy a FW 800 hub to plug my external Hard Drives, will the FW400 affect the speed of my FW800 external Hard Drives the same as they were daisy chained ??? Thank you. |
