Where i live, a Western Digital My Book Essentials 1TB External Hard Drive is 119$, a Western Digital My Book for Mac 1TB External Hard Drive is 150$

The two have the same specifications:
Off/on with computer
Usb connection
plug in play
Mac compatible

Is there any other performance details on what to buy?

Wireless connection is always nice. Than the space can be shared with other devices on the network.

I am confused. One of these has wireless? Best Buy has these and they are the same price. Am I missing something?

Who makes a better hard drive could be debated all day long. I am a WD guy so that is what I would buy. If you want the Mac one have them look online and do a price match. I am guessing there is no difference other than maybe the formatting.

NOTE: Moved to more appropriate forum.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

There is no difference other than the price.
It is a senseless price gouge.

Either way, it's cheaper to get it from Amazon:Amazon.com: Western Digital My Book Mac Edition 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDH1U10000AN (Black/Silver): Electronics
