I have an IMac with a My Passport backup. I want to backup the My Passport.
I have a lot of work that's only on the My Passport. Should I buy another one or something else? How do I get one to copy to the other? Do I need to buy special hookups? Thanks for any help. I'm a graphic artist and don't know about this. |

You can backup from one external hard drive to another but it usually winds up being tedious work especially if you have lots of data. You can attach both drives to your machine and then drag and drop from one to the other.
Or: Using a backup or cloning program, duplicate the backup or clone to the second drive. Again, work involved. Using Firewire 800 drives would be preferable since they can sustain a much faster data flow than FW 400 or USB. Regards. |
