Is there any way to partition a HD for installation of OS X without erasing what's already on the drive?
Thanks Last edited by corysw; 03-02-2005 at 03:46 PM. |

There are two commercial utilities that will do this; if you're running OS 9.1-9.2x you can use FWB Partition Toolkit. Otherwise, Micromat will be releasing DiskStudio "soon." DiskStudio is listed at $50, Toolkit at $25. Another and much cheaper possibility: use a utility to clone the drive then partition it and restore the cloned data to one of the partitions. Clone X (OS 9.1 and above) or Carbon Copy Cloner will do that.
