Hi,

you never think of secure backup until you lose an external hard drive!

one of my Western Digital My Book 750GB hard drives died yesterday only taking with it my DVD collection backup. No problem as I was just backing up my DVD's and I still have the originals.

but it got me thinking what about my 500GB external drive with all of my photos??

I am now looking for a way to backup more securely, possibly a RAID or similar.

I cant afford a Drobo but was looking at the Netgear SC101T, anyone have any recommendations?

Networkable is good but not essential, will buy harddrives seperately so just the enclosure for under $USD200

Thanks

Dave

NOTE: Thread moved to appropriate forum. Not just anything goes in Anything Goes

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
