I've searched high and low and I can't find the 'perfect' solution just yet. I have found some at OWC but not many reviews out there plus some are pricey.

(*) Newer Technology Guardian MAXimus RAID... (GM8U2KIT0GB) at OWC
Icy Dock 2 Bay SATA II External USB 2.0 +... (MB662UEAB-2S) at OWC
OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro 800+USB2 RAID Read... (MEPQ936AL2) at OWC

Looking for firewire 800 + usb 2.0
Internal 3.5'' sata
raid1

Suggestions?

I have one of the Mercury Elite-AL Pro cases - quad interface - non raid version... Like it, it sits in the end table by my recliner in the TV room - it's a quiet enclosure. Wouldn't hesitate trying that one out if I was looking for a RAID enclosure.

Also like the availability of the quad interface on it for the money. The Icy Dock just seems to be overpriced.

Check out the post by Peter SR here on the Mercury and the Newer Tech.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
