My son in college has a Macbook pro. I have an old workhorse of a printer, a LaserWriter 4/600 PS. I don't have the installation software anymore. I have manual, cable and printer-that's all. Anyone know of a resource for the printer's software? I assume the printer and macbook pro are compatible. Anything else I need to make the printer functional with his macbook?
QUOTE Thanks

Download Apple LaserWriter Driver for Mac - Printer driver for the LaserWriter printers. MacUpdate Mac Printers Software Downloads This site might help, but I'd try plugging it in and seeing if he already has the needed driver installed first.

That is a postscript printer and works with laser8 or a generic Adobe postscript diver. You would need a din8 to ethernet adapter and print throw a network setup.
