I just finished cleaning the mighty mouse so that the scroll function now works. However, clicking on the ball creates a left click. I checked the preferences and it is still set for Dashboard. I tried changing the option to expose and even off, but the track ball still acts as a left click even after a restart. Help!!

It may need to be disassembled and completely cleaned - not just the scroll wheel. You Tube has several good tutorials on how to take it apart and clean it thoroughly.

I've retired my MM and since purchased an inexpensive Logitech optical mouse at Wal-Mart which works just as well - and, it stays clean.

Regards.
