    USB Flash Drive Freezes Mac
    Hi Guys

This is my first post on here and I really need some help.

I have an intel Mac running OS 10.5.6

Whenever I connect my USB flash drive a grey transparent screen scrolls doen and tells me I have to turn off my Mac.

I am a reasonably new mac user (6 months) but feel I am pretty good with this sort of stuff but just cant seem to find a solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is a Kernel Panic. What Mac do you own? What are the specs? Did this just start happening? Does it only happen when you insert that flash drive into the USB port?

Im using a 2.4 GHz intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 1GB RAM.

i haven't used anything else like that but i did connect a digital camera and it did the same thing.

I have an iphone and a blue snowflake usb mic and they work fine.
