larger Internal hard-drive

Is it possible to purchase an internal hard-drive for my iMac (White)

I know its not easy to fit but can I purchase one or does apple control this market

Of course you can, if its an intel white iMac then any SATA drive will do

However, those models are tricky to open up and upgrade
