I've got a macbook pro 15.4" screen (1440x900). I want to attach a 22" (1680x1050) monitor.
Will my macbook screen retain the native rez while the 22" retains its native rez? Can anyone foresee any issues with this? monitor link: Acer X223Wbd 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 2500:1, 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+), VGA, DVI (HDCP), Black ET EX3WP 001 at TigerDirect.com |

![]() Seriously, plenty of people use their MacBook's with large external monitors with no issues. I'm typing this on a 1680x1050 20" monitor and it looks perfect. |

That sounds like people who are mirroring their laptop to a larger rez external. The Mac can handle both resolutions just fine, when not mirroring.
