Keyboard Problems With Some Keys

Hello There,
Sometimes my a, 1, q and z don't work. They randomly stop working for about ten minutes, then they start working again.

i have a 20" iMac which is new, from xmas. Mac OS x ofc, and the standard mouse and keyboard.

any idea's?

The pattern of the problem indicates to me that you have a faulty keyboard. As your computer is almost new, ask for a replacement keyboard.
