omg ok i now remember why i sold my last imac. Does anyone else have a problem with their mighty mouse jumping ALL over the screen? It is driving me insane! Every time i move the mouse, no matter how softly i do it, it jumps to any corner and slides down the screen.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It probably needs cleaning. There are several good videos on the net that show how to disassemble it and do a complete cleaning of moving parts. I long ago retired my MM in favor of an inexpensive Logitech.

Regards.

You sold your iMac b/c of your mighty mouse was having some problems?.. I'm sure you could buy an alternative mouse like logitech and it should solve the problem...I'm pretty sure it wasn't your iMac's fault but the mouse..... O.O

Hi, my Intel iMac started with the same problem last night. Got gradually worse until I couldn't open anything. Couldn't even shut down properly as the cursor wouldn't stay in one place for even a second! EVERY time I move it, the thing flies off in a different direction. No apparent dirt/blockages, same mousemat as ever (had this Mac for 2 years now) and its never happened before.
If you get a solution, please let me know! PM me.
Good luck!

My Mighty Mouse did the same thing right off the bat and being new to the Macbook pro that I bought switching from PC I thought I just didnt have it set for sensitivity and did everything to fix the problem, well I finally went and bought a logitech bluetooth mouse, works great.
