Help, My Son Deleted My Hardrive

I really really need this I have about 10,000 dollers worth of stuff on this plus a movie I was making and I really need this. Is there anyway to get it back!

Hopefully it was just the alias icon on the desktop.
Finder > Preferences > General > Show Hard drives on Desktop.

Otherwise a Backup will be needed.

Or Stop using the HD now and someone will let you know the name of a Data rescue app.

Hang on, back up just a bit. Are we talking about the entire drive? Is it an external, or was this your system drive? How did he go about "deleting" it?

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Yes, what is it that leads you to believe that the drive has been erased?

There is might be a simple fix to this, but we will need a little more information first.
