Mac Specs: Dual Core 2.3GHz G5 OS X.5.8 8GB DDR2 RAM
X Post Facto runs OS X on some pre G3 PowerPC models but if this goes back that far do not know. Check it out:-

Download XPostFacto for Mac - Install OS X on unsupported PPC machines. MacUpdate Mac System Software Downloads

One thing if it does install it would be as slow as all get out and not really worth the update. Stick with OS 8.6!

No. The earliest model of Mac that would run OS X was the 7300, and even then it was very slow. Trying to get your 6400 to run anything later than OS 8 even would be like trying to pull a plough through a field with a bicycle.
