Hi,

I just bought a canon LBP3050 and unfortunately, there's no driver for Mac. Is there a workaround to install this printer in leopard?

kwakito,

Did you get a driver disc with your printer? You could use it to transfer it's driver to the Printer list. Check this out and see if it helps: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.h...5/en/8272.html

Hi,

I have the driver disc but for xp and vista only. The site that you gave me doesn't tell me how to transfer the driver from the XP/Vista disc.

Further help needed.

kwakito,

I don't think you can do that if it's for XP and Vista only - you would need a Mac driver, I believe... I tried the Canon site for you and they don't show any printer named the LBP3050... I think your only recourse is to call Canon Tech Support and ask them about a driver.

Could it be that printer will only work with Windows??? What are the requirements on the box? Does it also say Mac? Canon may need to develop a driver for it... They sometimes go to market for a select audience.

To be continued...
