    External hard drive
I recently did an upgrade to the Leopard OS. However, once I did this my computer is failing to mount my external hard drive. It is a Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini and it has lots of information backed up on it.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this problem and direct me toward getting my computer to recognize this hard drive.

    Thank you.

    Specs:
    Mac Mini Core i7 2012 | White 2009 MacBook 2 Ghz | 733 Mhz G4 Quicksilver
AS a first step, can you see it in system profile menu > Get Info > more info

Secondly can Disk Utility see the drive and can you run a repair on it

Nope, I cannot see it in the system profile menu and disk utility cannot see it either.

have you upgraded to 10.5.3, it might fix any issues

Otherwise, you may have to give disk warrior a try

I know this sounds dumb - but have you used another cable

I haven't tried different cable. I don't have any other cables anyway to be honest. It was literally working just yesterday and then I upgraded to Leopard and now it just isn't mounting for some reason.
