The little scroll knob on top of my mouse now scrolls up but not down. Any ideas?

I've tried blowing on it... it's getting worse this... to no effect. Time for a new mouse?

Sounds like your mighty mouse is wearing out. I would consider a new one

I've seen it suggested to use a damp cloth and and roll the ball over it. Then use the air can to spray the gunk out.

I tried the damp cloth idea and it worked. I don't have canned air so couldn't spray the gunk away, but I can now scroll down again.
