Anyone have thoughts on the Apple TV?

Thinking about buying the 40gb version.

What can it do, and what modifications are there?

I also have the EyeTV Hybrid by Elgato, if that can help.

I use mine to show my photos on the plasma and send i-tunes to the hi-fi
rent an occasional hd movie which looks better than my comcast cable watch
some hd podcasts.
