I have read somewhere that there are only about three or four logitech webcams that are compatible with the macs. I am actually trying to search for this thread now,,when I found it,,i will post the link for you.

I paid £29 for it reduced from £39 prior to that i bought a cruddy philips one. I read lots about logitech ones. The ones which work on macs are the one I mentioned above. You can buy the special notebook style ones but there like another £20. I have got excellent quality and vid streaming from this little camera and it has what quite a lot of the other more expensive ones have to. So I think you should take a look at the Logitech Quick Cam range. hope this helps
