Hi there... my computer is doing something very strange... I have an external hard drive, that I have partitioned into two sections; one for Backup (Time Machine), and one for storage. When I connected it today, only the backup part showed up on the desktop. I checked Disk Utility, and it said that both are mounted, but I couldn't get to the storage disk in any way. I tried repairing the disk (through disk utility), I tried sleeping the comp and then reopening it, and also disconnecting, turning off, and reconnecting the hard drive, to no avail. Most of my music is on my external, so I tried playing some songs that were on the hard drive. And it worked. Which is weird. I then clicked "Show in Finder" from iTunes, and got the screenshot below, with the hard drive greyed out, but everything else available for access. Does anyone have any idea what is going on, or how to fix it? Thanks so much. Oh, I ahve a white macbook from 2006.

I'd really appreciate some help, because I have a lot of stuff on that hard drive, and I don't want to have to erase it or junk it...

Also, any hints, even whether its most likely a hard drive or a software problem (hopefully the latter) would be great.

QUOTE Thanks
