Here is the output from "ps aux"(it got a little mangled):
USER-PID--%CPU--%MEM-VSZ-----RSS----TT STAT STARTED TIME COMMAND noon 84594 19.8 44.7 1464752 937308 ?? U 6:46PM 51:20.66 /Applications/internet/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari -psn_0_13708562 as you can see Safari is using 937,308 kb of memory, or 44.7% of my total. Is this a normal case or an exceptional case? Safari has recently been restarted 3 hours ago and it continually does this. This is using 10.5.2 MacBook Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook3,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz uptime: 21:31 up 14 days, 8:24, 2 users, load averages: 0.21 0.20 0.18 |
