OS 10.3 - Windows Printer - Password storage.

At work, we've mostly a windows environment with about 100 Macs. The macs are all Emacs running Panther.

When the Macs were set up a couple summers ago, by student interns, they had local accounts setup (limited) and the printer in the computer lab was added to the macs. It's a network printer, on a server 2003 server.

The macs were printing fine, up until a week ago, when the generic account for the interns was deleted. What I need to know, before I go ahead and re-add the printer using other credentials, is how does OS/X cache the windows password for a network printer? I hope it's not in plain text.........
