Yep. Find an icon you like (my favorite site for this is InterFacelift), once it's downloaded, ctrl+click and select "Get Info", click on the icon at the top-left, press ctrl+c.

Then ctrl+click and select "Get Info" on the folder whose icon you want to change. Select the icon in the top left and press ctrl+v.

Congrats! Your icon is changed!

MacBook 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo - 4 GB RAM - 320 GB HDD - OS X 10.6
80 GB iPod Classic - "fredPod II"
8 GB iPhone 3GS - "fredPhone"

Note that this only works for the one Folder you have changed. This does not do a system wide folder icon change. However, if that is what you are looking for, Interfacelift is a good place to start too. There are lots of these "face lift" packages for Tiger at least. I am not sure of the status of most of them wrt Leopard... I just haven't looked yet.

My Macs: PowerMac G5 Quad, 2.5 GHz, 4 Core, Mac Pro, 3.2 GHz 8 Core, Power Macintosh 7500/100
My iStuff: 32 GB iPhone 4, 30 GB iPod Video, 16 GB iPod Touch
My OS': Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Leopard, Mac OS 8.6, openSUSE 10.3, Win XP
