Hello all,

I've got a MAJOR problem. I'm new to the Mac community (switched just 6 months ago woo hoo! ) but I've got a pretty hampering issue with Office 2004.

You see, whenever I try to e-mail an Office Document (xls, doc, etc) it gets to the receiver as an unknown file type which cannot be opened up (Mac and PC recepients alike).

I thought it may be my webmail client acting up, so I tried from Mail and its the same problem.

In a last ditch effort I took the perfecetly working .doc file off my desktop and dragged it to a Flash Drive. Took the flash drive to another Mac/PC and that file which reads perfectly on the original Mac is an unknown file type.

This is really killing my mojo guys! I thought I left all these sort of issues with Windo...I can't complete that word, I'll start to cry

Please help forum memebers!

You're my only hope!

Best,
VzW

Please anyone?

This is doubling my workload b/c I can't get ANY documents off my computer without it changing into an unidentified file extension.

Do you guys suggest starting over anew with Leopard?

Does the file have the ".doc" extension on it?

It actually has no extension at all! It gets stripped of all extensions.

REally weird!

Thanks for helping baggss!!
